OMNIA® Artist Bethany Townes
Bethany’s fascination with the art of makeup began in 2006 with a small part-time job at a cosmetic counter. Never could she have imagined experiencing such an immediate connection to something as simple as applying mascara or rouging a cheek—or that it could evolve into her life’s passion and current full-time career. After only a short time working at the counter and freelancing part-time, she realized there was nothing else she would rather be doing. Taking a huge leap of faith in 2010, she made the big move from her established government management career in Baltimore to pursue her newfound purpose in New York City. Maintaining the same curiosity and excitement that brought her to NYC, she is constantly motivated by the ever-changing trends and needs of the industry. By taking pointers from serving as an Army medic, Bethany’s professionalism, selfless service, and calming bedside manner provide an amazing experience for every client. With a signature style of timeless beauty with touches of elegance and glamour, Bethany has become a highly sought-after talent in the industry.
With the constant growth of the industry and the opportunity to share her talent at every corner, she now has her hand in several aspects of the industry including; commercial advertisement, brand representation, runway fashion, and music videos, with a focus in television and education. "I love this brush for smudging near the lash line or detailing a crease. I’ve also used it for precision lip liner and clean-up around the lip line."
"My new favorite concealer brush! It’s a great fit in the area around the nose. But it’s traditionally used as a shadow brush. I have multiples of this brush in my collection."
"Great for blending shadow! I love using this with little to no product for blending what’s already on the skin. The angle makes this a great shape for orbital and nose contouring."
"Love this shape and size for precision powder application. Also great for blush and contour. I like smaller fluffier brushes as they lend a more defused application and more control of placement."
"This is probably the largest brush I use but the shape and length are great for larger areas of application such as bronzer and all-over powder application, and even blush for larger face shapes."
"This is surprisingly becoming a favorite shape and style. I’ve always loved a fluffy brush but the size, shape, and density lend to the perfect placement right on the cheekbone. So it’s great for highlight as well."
"Great shape and size for applying foundation. The smaller shape allows for precision application."
