“Bake a better cake so the frosting looks better” – Kenya uses this phrase with her clients so they have a vested interest in their skincare- not only their makeup. Kenya has been in the industry since 2007, starting out in natural skincare and makeup moving through retail, and lastly as a Beauty Stylist for Nordstrom both in store and from home. She is a licensed Esthetician in rural Missouri where she encourages and celebrates her client’s journey to putting their best self forward. She wants everyone to have access to the ‘best experience and results’ no matter where they live- rural or urban. She is especially focused on becoming an expert with Skin of Color, ensuring the use of proper techniques and product knowledge for her clients. She has completed her Esthetics instructor training and is ready for her next step.
“This is a lover! It is soft and gentle in its approach to the face. The density and the softness is perfect for applying light facial oils and light moisturizers completely without disturbing sensitive skin.”

“I enjoy using this for applications of serums. It’s light and easily disperses serum into the skin without disturbing it.”

“This is a tried and true foundation brush for creating a smooth, natural finish. It’s also great for thicker gel‑like mask (jelly mask) application. It’s stiff enough yet still flexible. Truly multipurpose. No gloopy globs landing on a client’s face.”

“This is my indulgent tool for applying my eye cream. It has a mini scoop on the end of the handle and the bristles are soft yet formed enough to disperse the eye cream without disturbing the delicate skin around the eyes- getting it right up to the lash line! No fingers involved!”
